Los días 10 y 11 de octubre se celebrará el seminario “Interpreting Transformations of Landscapes and People in Late Antiquity”, en un evento de dos días de duración cuya inauguración se llevará a cabo en la Escuela Española de Historia y Arqueología en Roma (EEHAR-CSIC).
El acto forma parte del proyecto MED-FARWEST project (Urban Centres and Landscapes in Transition. The Mediterranean FarWest in Late Antiquity), y estará dedicado al estudio de las transformaciones del paisaje en la tardoantigüedad y la alta Edad Media en el Méditerraneo central y occidental, y cómo dichos cambios fueron percibidos por la sociedad de la época.
El encuentro está organizado por la responsable del proyecto MED-FARWEST, Pilar Diarte-Blasco (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions/ Research Fellowship Programme, University of Leicester) y Neil Christie (School of Archaeology & Ancient History, University of Leicester), con financiación procedente del programa Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions/ Research Fellowship Programme.
